Her Mind Institute, founded by Clinical Psychologist Lyndsay Babcock, born out of a deep passion to help women feel seen, understood, confident and important.
We couple clinical, evidence based psychology with lived- experience to help women navigate mid-life transitions, whether that be (peri) menopause, ADHD/Autism/OCD, relationship distress, anxiety, stress, burnout or trauma.
Our aim is to offer the clarity and expert understanding required for those who have held it together for far too long.
We fundamentally believe that women deserve to feel understood, empowered and supported.
We are committed to clinical rigour in all aspects of our work.
Our approach integrates evidence-based therapies with research that reflects women’s experiences, applied through careful formulation and ongoing clinical reflection.
This ensures that our work is not only grounded in science, but also responsive to the complexity of each woman’s life.
Her Mind Institute exists to help women make sense of their minds with clarity, compassion, and a deeper understanding of themselves.
“I came to therapy thinking I needed to be fixed. I left understanding I was never broken.” — Anonymous
We offer evidence based care and take a strengths -based approach in all of our work.
This includes careful consideration of:
Neurodivergence
Trauma
Social, emotional and relational history
Patterns of adaptation and coping
Cognitive and emotional load
Mid-life and hormonal transitions
We hold a trauma-informed lens in our work, where the priority is to understand rather than pathologise. By holding the full context of each woman’s experience, we create space for clarity and genuine healing.
By holding the full context of each woman’s experience, we create space for clarity and genuine healing.
Her Mind is particularly attuned to patterns that are often missed, minimised, or misunderstood. These are often the experiences that do not fit neatly into standard frameworks, but are central to understanding what is actually happening.
High-functioning presentations that mask underlying difficulty and the sustained effort involved in “holding it all together”.
Cognitive Strain
Cognitive fatigue and mental load that builds over time, leading to burnout that does not always look like burnout.
Hormone Impacts
The impact of hormone fluxuations in mid-life can change how women experience themselves and their overall satisfaction in life.
Are capable, thoughtful, and used to managing a great deal
Sense that something isn’t fully explained, despite functioning well externally
Are navigating burnout, overwhelm, or increasing cognitive strain
Are questioning ADHD or autism, including later identification
Are moving through perimenopause or menopause and noticing shifts in how they think, feel, or cope
Feel frustrated or stuck in relational patterns that don’t seem to change
Are tired of holding everything together without a clear understanding of why it feels so effortful
Want clarity, depth, and a more accurate framework for understanding themselves

Clinical Psychologist Lyndsay Babcock is Her Mind Inst. founder and has nearly 20 years of experience working with women across anxiety, trauma, burnout, menopause, relationship distress and neurodivergence (ADHD, Autism, OCD).
Lyndsay's work is informed by both professional expertise and lived experience. Having navigated medically induced menopause, a late diagnosis of ADHD, and the demands of business ownership, family life, and parenting neurodivergent children, she brings a nuanced understanding of the realities many women face in mid-life.
This informs an approach that is both clinically rigorous and deeply contextual, particularly for women whose experiences have been overlooked, minimised, or difficult to articulate.
She is deeply invested in being part of a broader shift toward women being more fully understood, effectively advocated for, and appropriately supported.
